These initiatives support SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, by making educational experiences and academic expertise accessible to the wider community.

Free and Open Educational Events at UNS

In 2025, UNS faculties and university units organized educational events addressing various topics, including public health, cultural heritage, community development, arts education, and personal development. The following activities illustrate UNS’s role in hosting public educational events

Contribution to SDG 4: Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and Lifelong Learning

Through its public lectures, educational seminars, workshops, and community learning events in 2025, UNS extended educational opportunities beyond its formal academic community. These events enabled teachers, practitioners, community representatives, and members of the general public to engage with academic knowledge, learn from experts, and exchange experiences across different fields.

By hosting free public educational events on campus and opening them to the general public, UNS made academic knowledge and learning experiences more accessible to people outside the university community. These activities provided opportunities for continuing education, professional development, and community-based learning without financial barriers.

Through these initiatives, UNS contributes to SDG 4 by promoting inclusive and equitable access to quality education and expanding lifelong learning opportunities for all. Its role as a center for public learning and knowledge exchange demonstrates how a university can extend the benefits of higher education beyond its enrolled students and staff to the wider community.
