- International Public Lecture: “Transforming Sustainable Agriculture through Communication of Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Innovations and Practices”
The Faculty of Agriculture (FP) UNS, through the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program, organized an International Public Lecture titled “Transforming Sustainable Agriculture through Communication of Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Innovations and Practices.” The event featured Mr. Tuan Le, Rice Programme Director for Southeast Asia at Rikolto Indonesia, an international NGO specializing in sustainable agricultural development.
Through this lecture, students had the opportunity to directly engage with an international practitioner who has extensive experience in transforming agricultural systems through strategic communication approaches. The discussion covered various innovations within the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) practices that not only improve agricultural productivity but also contribute to farmers’ welfare and environmental preservation. The presence of Rikolto Indonesia underscores the vital role of collaboration between higher education institutions and NGOs in empowering the younger generation to address climate change challenges through sustainable agricultural practices.
