UNS helps its students by providing 165 tablets for those in needs
UNS through Nazhir Waqf and the Zakat Collecting Unit (UPZ) handed over 165 tablets to students affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a commitment from the campus to help those in need, including up to the fulfillment of their teaching and learning needs. Overall, the donations collected amounted to Rp.265.810,000. The distribution of hundreds of tablets was motivated by the large number of UNS students who had difficulty participating in online learning because they did not have adequate electronic equipment.
The recipients of this assistance came from 11 faculties, vocational schools, and graduate schools from various ethnic, religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. Head of UNS Nazhir Waqf, Prof. Triyanto, thanked the entire community and academics who participated in raising donations. “We have managed waqf funds from the academic community and we have managed them for investment or development.” said Triyanto through a press release of UNS Public Relations.
